Who has done it? Average cost? How did you find your carrier?
I want to get my Jeep from Denver to Indy, and it doesn’t look like I’ll have time to drive it. I don’t want to throw a dart at the phone book, so, how did you decide who to use?

When I bought my car it was about $800 to ship it from San Diego to Madison. I first looked on uShip which connected me with Montway. uShip is like an online marketplace for shipping, and Montway is a shipping kinda like, clearinghouse, where you book with them and they assign some smaller carrier company to do the transport.
I ended up filing a complaint with Montway because this smaller carrier had a delay in getting the car to me. They got it to their depot in Chicago and were supposed to drive it up to Madison on a flatbed, but that flatbed was broken down being repaired for several days. And then when the car got to me there was a bunch of grease and grime I had to clean off my white leather seats. Otherwise it was ok in that the car made it to me and was not damaged. They suspended that carrier from their network.

There are may ways - and may forms with a variety of options:
Enclosed vs open.
Car in plastic wrap and cover vs open.
Track-able tuck vs blackhole.
Confirmed date of delivery vs a date range.
I may or may not have helped you, but please be aware of all these “options” or questions to ask for.
I have shipped 3 cars as part of corporate relocation and 1 car personally as I bought it from CA. All from CA to TX.

I shipped my bike. Wyoming to california, $500 plus $150 for a couple scratches on the saddle bags (no biggie). Found the company on google. I decided to go with the bigger companies to speed the process up. Took a couple months but it was worth it. The guy who dropped it off knew his stuff
